Shin's going to be climbing Mt. Baldy next Thursday (12/23) and Saturday (Christmas morning, early) if anybody else is interested.
It looks like some people are also interested in Baldy on New Year's Day. I'll be up in the Sierra that day.

Thanks Richard, stars are not aligning... I'm going this Saturday 12/18 and 12/26 day after Christmas. And maybe squeeze one more San Gorgonio summit it before the New Years to give me 41 summits for 2010.....
We could schedule a 1-1-11 Baldy climb?????

If it's an open climb, I might be up for a 1-1-11 (four one's sanity) climb.

Hi Richard, Please remove my name from the subject title. Change it to "Open hike on Mt. Baldy". I don't know how to change the subject title.
Hi Jim, I'll join with you on 1/1/11 hike. If we want to see the sunrise, we can camp out some where safe in the mountain and watch the sunrise at the summit.
Shin

We could schedule a 1-1-11 Baldy climb????? You want to come pick me up Saturday morning. I'd drive down, but it's supposed to be raining... 41? You may be ahead of me this year... 29 on Whitney, 8 on Owens, a few on Thor, a few on Baldy, 1 on Langley, 1 on Muir, 1 on Kearsarge, 1 on Cathedral... is that less than 41? I sure didn't do much this year.

Richard don't forget the big 3 down in Mexico! I'd settle for just those 3 summits in 2011 and I'll be happy.
Shin so we have a thread, 1-1-11 group hike! We can talk about it this Saturday that is if we will be able to hear each other over the wind! We'll have to do sign language to communicate....Or we can write in Kangji in the snow...

Yeah, I woke up in the middle of the night thinking "You forgot:
Irvine with Shin Candlelight with the WPSMB group LaMa, Ixta and Ori with RG."
I should try and get out to make sure I hit 50 (maybe 52).
BTW, the wives may be along for this one (my wife was already thinking in terms of wanting to cook at the Hut), so the first part will be like a stroll thru Central Park on Thursday.
Shin, you should see if you can get the Mayor to open the Hut up for the people who'd rather sit there.
Doug, maybe you and Earlene will show up?

Hi Richard, Don't forget Turnnabora Peak,13565 feet, on Wallace lake trip.
I'll check my friends who have a key to the Hut whether they can be there or not on those days. I plan to see the "Mayor" this Saturday at the Lodge.

Shin, what time Thursday the 23rd? Usual time? I might make that one and possibly the 26th (Sunday). I don't think the 25th will work out though. New Years sounds like a great idea. So when do we shift over to the Winter Access Forum?

Well 2 out of 3 aint bad I suppose. I can't make the 23rd. Had a lovely day last Sunday visiting with "the mayor" at Jabba the hut. Much different conditions than this coming weekend!!! final image from the G10 before it crapped out. It was just under a year old!!!

Well, that's good. It should still be under warranty.

Tracie my G9 died 30 days after the extended warranty (2 years total)expired. Best Buy said tough luck... Canon said "as a thank you for your loyalty" for $150 we will fix it and give you a 30 warranty on the repaired camera. I grudgingly laid out the $150 and so far so good.

Just for clarity the date on this post is Christmas day and Yeti told me today that he meant 12/26 Sunday the day after christmas.
Is anyone going up that day? Or are a few going up christmas day?

What's the "usual" start time for the 12/23 climb? I was eyeing that day as it will be the first time we see the sunshine in a week. Would be cool to meet up.

Jeff set up a Mt. Baldy hike today. It was raining but we had a fun day with Patrick,Frank, and Eagle. The snow condition is improving above 8000 feet. There will be several days of rain so we can expect adequate snow by next weekend. Pictures are WPSMB photo album link. Jeff, thank you very much for a fun day. Shin
