We thank you dear, Lord, for our broccoli.
Thank you for Doug and Steve and for the boards and trails they maintain.
Bring Laura home safely.
And please bless and keep the trolls . . . far away from us.

Amen

I echo MC's thoughts on this point and add "Can't we all just get along"?

Good for Doug...... Hmmmmmm, I like the way he edits. Removing trolls benefits everyone.

And, JustBob...... the reason why we can't all get along is that trolls can't get along with anyone. Trolls are dark and sad creatures. They need attention, are ugly, uneducated and condescending. That's why they hide under bridges trying to engage with anyone who passes by. It's a lonely life. I can't imagine why they think stirring up trouble, while behind the safety of their PC makes them happy. I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually. Trolls are depressed and distressed, in need of emotional support. Since they don't have confidence in themselves, they need to lash out and pretend they know what they are writing about. They imagine themselves as what could have been if their lives hadn't been flushed down the toilet of failure. Once ignored, a troll will squirm back into the mucky stagnant waters they came from. Hopefully there aren't any trolls on this site as I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings.

And now back to talking about the mountain that is the focus of this forum, Mount Whitney, and helping folks get the answers to their questions.

Ooooops, forgot one thing. They stop posting under first troll name, change identities and start it all over again. Watch out for the troll under the IP address

So, this would be the "it's still winter and I'm bored so I have to stir some ill will" thread..... One every winter. I'm always watching and waiting for this thread. It's a sure sign that spring is just around the corner..... crazy

Uh.........it's true! Opinions are like, let's say "belly buttons"......everyone has one.....enough PLEASE!

Trolls, opinions, bad manners. (whatever) Let's get back to a solution of correcting errors on the board, AND sharing our wealth of knowledge for other fellow hikers. I am so ready to step it up a notch, in reading and posting.

Here's a concept: ignore and move on! I like to think most trekers and hikers don't sweat the small stuff, but rather embrace what is important: the beauty of why we enjoy what gets us out everyweekend: nature.
Have a wonderful memorial day weekend, and remember, "wherever you go.....there you are"

Do you really think that in only one week he has actually realized--finally--he is too often a petty and thoughtless narcissist, and already fundamentally changed his ways? Not likely . . . (and if you think that sounded too harsh, go back to the first page of this thread and review his completely uncalled-for and extremely rude diatribe).

Four years ago when he pulled a similar hateful and unprovoked stunt, he at least managed to stay away for a month and a half--and was not exactly missed by most . . .

Florence, you aren't doing this board any justice by perpetuating the negativity.

I was going to keep out of this thread but it just won't go away. I know Richard personally and he has always been kind to me and has helped me and many others on this board (and others who choose to no longer post on this board by the way).

As far as a board problem, the hikers and mountaineers that I've met don't lose much sleep over spelling errors and whatnot.

Like Tracie I was going to stay out of this but I'm bored and got nothing to do today at work! I wish this was like facebook where I could hit the like comments. I like Norma's and MC's the best. Carole's quote had me falling out of my seat laughing! All I can say is personal attacks on this board is not acceptable. In regards to RP Me,Ryan and several others personally saw him and Kevin walk a dude down a mountain when ALLOT of people woudn't have.

BTW: Carole I don't like those types' of light's they make me look fat!!!!
