Some friends and I dayclimbed Lone Pine Peak today. Because of the interest shown on this thread, I noted our time to Grass Lake: 3:05. (We left the Meysan Lake trail at 3:01 and reached Grass Lake 4 minutes later.)
I must mention that we were not in a hurry. We took two breaks totaling 25 minutes. While one of us was a young 23 y.o. tiger, the remainder were senior citizens (one REALLY senior!).
I took pictures and will post them tomorrow. Unfortunately, there was a lot of smoke early.
