Congratulations Friends!

I'm impressed, proud of all, happy for you, and a wee bit jealous.

Greetings from Quito, Ecuador. After finishing another amazing and very memorable Mexico trip I flew to Ecuador to guide climbs on volcanoes here.

I think some of you thinking about a return to Mexico ought to consider a trip to Ecuador instead and step it up to some bigger volcanoes and visit an very amazing country!! Here are a couple pictures:

Cotopaxi's very cool double crater.

Summit photo on Cotopaxi (19348'/5897m), Ecuador on November 20, 2011

SMI guide April climbing on Cotopaxi.

Big crevasses and amazing scenery on Cotopaxi.

More pictures to come!!!

I've said it before, I'll say it again... I am SO JEALOUS of the life you Professional Climbers lead.

Cool stuff! If you take away the brown (at left), that last photo reminds me of a section of the Gib Ledges Route on Rainier that we did last July.

When my wife hits the Lotto, I'll be going all over the world with you Kurt.

For someone who doesn't plan, the next couple of years are already filled with climbing adventures. If things fall thru, I may just head down to S.A. sooner...

So, I'm at the Thanksgiving table with a bunch of twenty-somethings and they all have their iPhones out. OK, I can be cool too, so I'm checking e-mail and messages too.

I am so glad I had cleared the table before I saw this one! Food would have been spraying out of my mouth - I was laughing that hard.

I'm blowing this one up for the mountain wall.

We really need to get the Three Dicks (me, Mike and RG) down to Mexico to have at that! Least we can do Is make a LOT of offerings to the Volcano gods.

Thanks Kurt. That is a classic.

Been enjoying all these pictures. Keep them coming! The Mexico photos are great AND those Ecuador shots are making me salivate. I'm going to have to figure out a way to get down there.

Kurt, are you still in South America or are you back in Bishop?

Ecuador is an absolutely amazing trip. High volcanoes, pretty jungles, great food, indian markets, etc.

I'm not in Bishop until Sunday night. I'm at a course to recertify my Wilderness First Responder first aid certification. If you're still around on Monday stop on by.

Kurt; did you eat the whole bag of cheetos. Those things will kill you DEAD!!!!! Spent an hour last week looking at your pictures, they are amazing. The idea of climbing to 18,000 sounds very exciting. I look forward to viewing your next adventure.

Are you kidding me??? Those things are evil!! I'll leave those for Richard to devour. I think they actually have a half life.

I hope to see you on a trip there sometime. There's a few people on this board who have been on trips with us. We have a great time and have had a great success rate in Mexico and Ecuador too.
