Heard him tell this story one of the times that I crossed paths with him.

He was the man to go to with questions regarding the PCT.

Very sorry to hear about Bill/AsABat passing. I was fortunate enough to hike with him on the Thor trip as well. Condolences to his friends and family.

I, too, am saddened to hear this. Thank you, Ken, for posting. The one group climb I did, Thor Peak, he was present and I enjoyed his company.

Richard... Ive been wondering about a group climb. If I don't have to work, I'd love to join.

Kurt, thanks for posting the pictures. I knew I had hiked with him, but couldn't place it. 2008 Baldy hike. He will be missed, most of all by his family, but he shared great wisdom on this board and on the trail. Happy trails in the eternities, AsABat.

I'm very sorry to hear of his untimely passing. Although I never met him in person, he always had something worthy and interesting to say on this board. My condolences go out to his friends and family.

You're welcome. Here are a couple more photos I found from our Baldy hike on February 3, 2012.
