Hi Jeff, sorry about the confusion... yah, I'm "Rosabella" on the Board. I was originally from San Diego County, but moved to Washington in '72. I'll be in the San Diego area (actually Escondido) that weekend for the family Christmas party; I'm so glad that the weekend of the hike worked out to be the same. I'm SOOO looking forward to the hike (WooHoo!!)

BTW, I wanted to tell you thanks for putting this all together!

Rosie (AKA Rosabella - the nickname my favorite ballet teacher gave me)

Thanks Roise, was getting your WPSMB name and your Facebook name confused! Look forward to finally meeting you. My pleasure to put this together although Shin and me over the years have wrestled together he is still my family my adopted Dad and I love him even that rude, cranky, crazy, quick tempered brother of his Richard!

You know when I first met Shin I didn't know how to put a crampon on LOL He put them on for me! No I'm not to proud to ask for help and SHin was nice enough to give it.
Rosie look forward to meeting you,

Same here Jeff/Yeti!

And yah... I really like your adopted Dad, Shin and his "rude, cranky, crazy, quick tempered brother of his Richard!"... however, I must say Richard's always been a gentleman around me. smile

LOL! if we'll be needing crampons for this hike, I may need help putting them on as well!

Ummmmmmm... Cancelling for a good reason and not showing up two different things. wink

Please add Sonya Wilson to the 'Current Participants' list.

This is going to be BIG BIG BIG. And for the record, as Jeff knows, I've already got dibs on sweep position. There will be no one slower than me. Doug... we can share more stories. smile

MC, I guess I'll have to share some of those stories with y'all because I'm hanging with the sweeper group, especially if there's snow or ice. Or if it's too treacherous, I might just cheat and take the ski lift up to the Notch and meet everyone for lunch. smile

Oh, I hope you ARE going Dave... I really missed you at the get-together last month!!! You and Trailbud/Doug are the best!!

LOL! Besides,(TB)Doug will probably be relived if you came - last month I was pitching him so much sh*t, I think people thought for sure he was one of my brothers!! Of course, he was giving it right back to me... I sure enjoy you guys!! I can't wait to see your smiling faces!

Harvey, I am so looking forward to meeting you, I'd hoped I would some day! I can thank you personally for your very good advice that has ALWAYS been appreciated!!

OK.... Karin..... are you (hopefully) on that list yet?

Add-on: LOL!! Stacy, All I can say for TB/Doug is that I will really, really miss him if he doesn't show up (but he knows that!). Doug, you gotta come... I owe you a latte!! (and want to see if you're hair's still long!!) smile

With so many in the sweeper group, we'll have enough stories for a book. smile

Super fun day, Dave! And to destroy such studlyness would be a crime.

Jeff, could you please add my brother Ken to the list. I'm not sure about any of my other brothers at this point.

Someone is going to have to volunteer to get between these two so we don't have to listen to the family bickering all day.

laugh Richard, you're so funny! ... that's just "big family dynamics!" What appears to some as "bickering" is just my family communicating! (FYI for those who don't know... I've got 8 brothers and 4 sisters. BIG family = lots of noise) But we TOTALLY have fun and love each other!! When I don't have a smile on my face is when you should worry wink

.... besides, I seem to remember a certain "Richard" joining a couple of our hikes and having fun with all of us!! Well, OK... maybe the first was was a bit of a"culture shock", but you know you enjoy my family Richard and vice versa! smile

...Oh, and BTW, Tim may be joining us as well.

Hi Steve! Sorry you won't be able to make the Baldy hike! Yah... one of my brothers lives in San Marcos - he lives on Rees Road... and if you go by there, he's the one with the GIANT tree decorated in his front yard! smile You can't miss it!

As a last resort for those that want an adventure pass. As you are about to make that left turn before you would head into Icehouse canyon, there is a lady on the right hand side of the road that sells honey and adventure passes. Pretty sure she lives there year round. From what I remember its right off the road just before the parking lot. Real nice lady and the honey is pretty good too...
