Never heard back from them regarding my filling out the online form, but a package with a new SPOT arrived at the Post Office last Friday. Just need to package the old unit and send it back.

Not bad... I would have said excellent if they had acknowledged the online submission for an RMA.

Sent three ok messages on Sun. Two made it through, The one that did not make it pisses me off. I left the spot in one location for 20min, 13k plus altitude, clear out, no obstructions.

They've added a Sat Phone and this:

to the lineup. I like that they are diversifying...hopefully it makes it less likely that they will go out of business and leave me with a lump of worthless whatever.

BTW, I almost lost another SPOT (this would have made 4!)... the crappy armband holder ripped apart recently and SPOT fell out without me noticing. Lucky for me (as bad as my conditioning is right now), I only had to walk a few hundred yards back to see it sitting on the ground.

Hortuna, still no complaints with my SPOT... getting laid off this year has its advantages - like hiking the JMT southbound ... every position was accurately sent and received each day - the location of my campsites appeared accurate within 15 feet! Thanks!
