I just read your blog update. Congrats on your success. That's an impressive accomplishment.
The logistics of big wall climbing still mystify me.
Here's a noob question: how do you carry enough water for a 15 day climb?

Iplod we (A) do not drink enough and (B) we seek it out where ever we can get it. Amy will melt snow while I move bags, we will find a drip and sit there for hours collecting water into gallon jugs. We usually will have about 8 to 9 gallons on hand... That's a gallon a day for the both of us, a half gallon each. We get most of our hydration in morning breakfast and dinner. There is about a liter for the both of while climbing. Not whole lot!
Jeff we tried man.... I'll find that Royal Arches in the Portal, I promise!

Hi Myles... I'm the girl who took a bunch of photos of you, with your camera, at the hostel. Congrats to you and Amy on a true EPIC. You guys are livin' the dream (remember that next time you are "living off two instant soups, two bags of tea and a handful of instant mashed potatoes for your last three days"). Loved the video. And loved every photo... especially the ones I had to stand on my head to figure out. Stay safe. And keep livin' la vida loca...

Hey guys!..... Doug! What's Crackin' Big Guy? So, we are packed and out of the park. The South Tower was a frozen hunk of rock with poor weather opportunities. In all it was great trip and adventure... Quite the learning experience as well. Lots of does and do nots were taught. We will be back to finish what we started hopefully with more rope next time. Thanks for all the support and we look forward to seeing the family in and around the Portal. Here is Amy's writing from the Central Tower... Check it out! http://roamingbanditos.blogspot.com

Hey Miles and Amy, I've been following you on your blog and am amazed with what you two have accomplished. Very interesting the logistics of doing an epic climb like this. Not to mention the skills and endurance. However, what I find most impressive is that you have managed to maintain your relatioship while being confined to a 28 sq ft portaledge for seven days(I'm smilling as I say this, but it is still true). Not many couples could endure that:-) Congratulations. I hope you post many pictures when you get time and bandwidth. John

Ditto to Stacy and Carole!!!! Welcome home!!!! Please pick up a good duct tape before your next adventure. Looking forward to a picture presentation of your adventure some time in summer in Lone Pine. Everyone wants to hear your adventure. Please take a good rest before the summer season begins.

Ditto that, another amazing tour. Between this one and Richard's should be a season or two of stories to share over burgers and beer.
