So let's put this cool new redesign to work planning another Group Outing...
I keep tripping over this big box in the garage and finally remembered it's an Igloo Building Tool. I think we have enough snow to put it to use... maybe even use it for an overnight.
My wild-@$$ idea when I bid on this thing (I won it in an auction at least 4-5 years ago.) was to build camps at LBSL, UBSL and Iceberg, so that people wouldn't have to carry heavy tents up... Of course, like most of my recent ideas, nothing ever came of it.
Any interest? Maybe January, or February, during one of the Holiday Weekends? We could always run down to the WPS, or Hostel if the weather doesn't cooperate...

Yes, let's build an igloo! Though I've heard those tools don't work so well.... Best to build a snow mound and hollow it out from inside is what I've heard some folks say .... quinzee hut ... but either way....

CLMRG has built a couple over the years with the same tool I own... one at The Portals, the other up at LBSL. They lasted for a while before the sun melted them out. Definitely roomy on the inside.
I have photos of both, but can't seem to find them.

Hi Doug, New site looks great. Big improvement. Pictures are "tack" sharp. I did notice on the "Contact" page that the two addresses are not labled on the left side. They are labled below, but depending on your screen size you may not see the lower portion of the display. All in all a nice upgrade.

The new web design looks great. The beautiful cam photos for each month May to October give a nice summary on how the season played out. Also the online store looks inviting.
As always, the combination of message board, cam, and weather forecast really help in trip planning.
Thank you for this wonderful site.

LOVE the new design. Very clean. I'd be interested in a winter group outing. I've built snow caves, walls, tables, etc but never an igloo. Always wanted to.

Hi Thanks everyone for the comments.
Igloo ??? In the winter? How could that be? So not to refresh a touchy topic but if we do build one lets build it in the shade.
Fire crew doing more pile burning this week so if you see smoke don't panic. They will have trucks and people in the area. Thanks Doug

I like the front page of the design but the forum /discussion board page...well the bottom banner could be a little smaller..
I remember Rockwell's igloo by lower boyscout lake. I thought it was pretty cool. Let's do it!
